Rooms

The Z hotel offers each traveller all the mod cons in their five room types, from their ground floor Garden Rooms which open onto the lush vegetation around the pool and decking to their signature roof top Z Suite.

Garden and Sea View Rooms

Garden and Sea View rooms are identical in every way and even face the same way, the only difference is that the Sea View rooms are located higher up and can look over the gardens below out to sea.

Each Room has the following comforts as standard: Lighting by Christopher Wray of London, full air-conditioning, LCD flat screen TV, IPod docking station , telephone and Wifi Internet access, in-room safe, mini-bar, complimentary beauty products, Egyptian cotton bed linen and summer duvet, wet-room shower, luxurious bathrobes, hair dryer and a full turn down service.

Two Roof Top Suites

Perched on top of one of the blocks with fantastic ocean views each of these suites is well equipped with the following in addition to the standard list:

The Z Hotel - The Details

While the beach front at Nungwi is lined with hotels, lodges and guest houses, the locals live in the windy narrow makeshift streets behind. There are local shops for any essentials and tourist shops to explore as well as beach shack stalls full of wonderful art and crafts.

The atmosphere at The Z Hotel is a buoyant one and there are always new friends to be made, cocktails to be sampled in the Cinnamon Bar and indulgent massages to be taken in the spa.

For those seeking the deserted powder white sand beaches that stretch on for miles (found on the east Coast) we often recommend a few nights at the Z hotel as it is the perfect destination, if not ‘the destination’ in Nungwi and great to experience after a week or so of chilling out. Naturally, The Z is also perfect for many couples, single travellers and groups of friends who prefer to be in the buzz of Nungwi with restaurants and bars lining the coast.

Community & Conservation

The Z Hotel trains and employs Zanzibari staff throughout all areas of hospitality and has its own staff quarters at the rear of the hotel. Last year they funded the local school extension and hotel director, Keith Horan was thanked in a colourful ceremony by Vice President of Tanzania, Mohamed Bilal. The Z hotel continues to work with community projects and are all about their presence as a force for good in Nungwi and beyond.
