Day 1 & 2: Arusha - Tarangire National ParkYou will be greeted at Kilimanjaro Airport by your Safari guide in new 4 x 4 custom built land cruiser. After a brief lunch-stop in Arusha you will drive to Tanzania's third largest national park: Tarangire. Tarangire, best known for its herds of elephant, it is home to more than 2,500 individuals and in the dry season herds of up to 400 elephants can be seen a few kilometres from the camp playing and lounging around the swamp. On day two, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives and optional full day drives with picnic lunches. With evening entertainment and lots of activities there is a lot to experience.
Two nights at Maisha Kikoti Kikoti is Maasai for “the place where life began”. Surrounded by ancient boulders, baobab, mopane and fig trees - Maisha Kikoti is located on the principal migratory corridor in Tarangire National Park. A much loved camp with 18 thatched chalets, dining areas, lounges and the wonderful camp fire to exchange stories and experiences. One of the few lodges in Tarangire that runs evening game drives- very exciting! You can also enjoy nature walks led by Maasai rangers. Staying two nights ensures you see and experience the best of Tarangire.
Day 3 – Tarangire - Ngorongoro highlandsDepart Tarangire for the Ngorongoro highlands, along the way stop and discover the local village of Muto Wambu. Experience the hospitality, the local market and have lunch in a local homestay. You can also visit banana plantations and rice fields and stop in a local Maasai village and enjoy the traditional welcome dances! The off road driving is an exciting experience as you go up higher and higher into the wilderness to Endoro Lodge.
One night at Endoro Lodge Endoro is an eco-friendly lodge just 20Km from the Ngorongoro Main Gate. Nested on the edge of the Northern Highland Forest Reserve, which boasts over one hundred bird species, resident elephants, buffalo, baboon troops, and the occasional lion. Just a few minutes walk are the Endoro River Nature Trails suitable for hiking, bird watching, animal viewing and plant identification. Experience the beauty and essence of nature. With 18 spacious 55 sq. metre chalets you can enjoy outdoor showers breathing in the wonderful pure air of the Ngorongoro Forest.
Day 4 & 5 – Ngorongoro – Olduvai Gorge – Serengeti National ParkAn early start to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the Earth’s largest unbroken caldera. A veritable “Garden of Eden”, the Crater is reputed to contain the highest density of carnivores, which includes Cheetah, Leopard and Lion. This is the only place in East Africa where one can easily observe a natural population of Black Rhino. Visit Olduvai Gorge is one of the most important prehistoric archaeological sites on Earth. Later the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most renowned national park and home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth. On day 5 experience game drives at your leisure, the Serengeti never disappoints and the location of the camp has been chosen to ensure you see the best of the wildlife in the area. With oil lanterns off nearby Acacia tree’s you will enjoy a la carte dinners under the stars, afterwards you can relax with a cognac around the camp fire. You will be in awe of Africa.

Day 6 – Serengeti – ArushaStart the day with an early morning game drive on route to the little airstrip in Seronera for your flight to Arusha (1 hour). A wonderful experience; board a small 12 seater plane and fly low over the remote wilderness, over volcanic mountains and the plains of Africa. Stop for a lunch at cultural heritage on the way to the airport and then drive to Kilimanjaro for your onward connections home or onto Zanzibar to relax on its glorious beaches.
